State Championship Tomahawk & Knife Throw
April 6th, 2003

Wind was the deal April 5th and 6th for the Hawk & Knife Throw in Torrence County Park. A few hardy folks came out to play on Saturday. Not too many spent the night. However the throw on Sunday was a good'n. Eight men, four women and a handful of juniors showed up to throw in five events prescribed, designed and manipulated by Ken Bomboy. Had to be on the mark. Dan Bromley won first place in the men's knife after a throw off with Randy West. The prize was a Bomboy throwing knife donated by Ken. Randy won men's hawk and took home the traveling trophy for overall men. Randy has to add something to the trophy itself. Linda Yancy won both the women's knife and hawk competitions. Myron Clements won knife and hawk in the junior's catagory. Congratulations to the winners and to everyone who came out to play.
