Knife Sheath

Rendezvous fun and ok, but not period correct. Brass tack decoration and fringe came from diffent artistic traditions and did not occur on the same piece.

Buckskin over rawhide which was wet molded over the actual knife wrapped in cling film. This style has a very wide welt ( the strip of leather in between the sides to protect the thread ( which I narrowed at the top to permit the guard to slide in and rest on the step. This is quite secure. It is my normal everyday rondy knife and has never come out accidentally.
