The laminated wood ring with the outside of bird’s eye maple veneer is from Crazy Crow. The head is a scrap of unusable elk rawhide given to me by a professional drum maker. I looked at dozens of drums and found that there were no two alike. Finally I designed my own lacing; based on memory of the two I liked best, one for the head, another for the grip.
Lesson
- I was actually pretty happy with this one and don't need another drum anyway. No lessons learned.
